Ballet Recital

Mary Kathryn's Dance class was one of her favorite parts of the 2007-2008 school year. And that girl loves a show so to say that she was excited about her recital would be a huge understatement. She couldn't wait and we talked and talked about it for weeks beforehand. The recital was a large group of children from lots of different schools. It was held at Ashley Hall on a stage that I was quite familiar with. Mary Kathryn particularly loved the idea of performing in the same place that her mom did. It was an adorable performance just let us know if you would like to see the video. :) MK's group danced a hula type dance to a song from High School Musical 2. My favorite part was her little hip shimmey. Too cute. Her favorite part was the trophy that she got when it was over. She literally was beaming for days. It is without a doubt her most prized posession.

T-Ball Spring 2008

Mary Kathryn participated in her first team sport in Spring 2008. She was a little apprehensive at first, but being the rules girl that she is, she immediately got in to it. She listened to the coaches and always tried her best. We were very proud of her first endeavor. Sadly the team uniform was orange, but she had a pink glove that she loved and her favorite part (besides the snack) was having us cheer for her. She had a great season, well I guess since they don't keep score at this age, I will say an undefeated season ;).

Disney!

With great anticipation Thursday May 8th finally arrived. And we were off to Disney World. Gregg and I and the Girls, Spencer and Aileen and the Children, Grammy, Ant Helen, Cici, and Big Aa. What a crew.
Big Aa surprised us with pillows and handmade nightgowns for the trip, so sweet. The girls went nuts. It was a long trip and there was no napping in our car, but we made it. The Shades of Green was very nice and the kids were super excited. It was the first time MK and Anne had stayed in a hotel and they got to have an adjoining room with Spencer and Eliza. Without naps we decided the pool and dinner at the hotel would be enough excitement for the night.

so we took this opportunity for a short wait to see the princess. This was Mary Kathryn's favorite part of the
trip. She got to visit with each one individually and chat with them.
