A glimpse into the future, I hope

What a treat - a lunch date with my two precious girls. Granted I eat lunch with both of them every day, but something seemed extra special today. It was just a run to Costco for formula and Mary Kathryn and I shared a piece of Costco pizza, so really nothing fancy, however it was still a sweet moment to me. MK, when did you get so big? We ate lunch together and had a conversation almost as if we were 2 buddies - you really are an amazing little girl and a blessing to our family. I hope that our future holds many more lunch dates, just us girls (with a special visit from Dad wheh we let him). And Anne I know soon enough you will be jumping in on the conversation instead of just happily munching on the Cheerios. Thanks for the lunch date, MK and for showing me your special way to eat frozen yogurt. Mommy loves you!

Too big for those britches

Sunday evening we went to the 6 o'clock service at church. We arrived a little early and were waitng in the nursery for the nursery worker to arrive. Gregg and I were saying that if nobody showed up we thought we would just take the girls into the church with us. Then Mary Kathyrn piped up that no, she would stay and babysit Anne for us. We chuckled and said that she wouldn't want to be alone there. To which she replied that she wouldn't be alone that Allie and Aggie (her 2 favorite imaginary friends) would be with her. Luckily the nursery worker arrived and we did not have to continue with this discussion! I know she really believes that she could have done it!

Dancing Queen (junior)

Mary Kathryn is really into dancing lately. Fortunately she now has ballet on Mondays. She has only had one class, but ever since she has been a little dancing queen. She is particualrly fond of being the teacher and telling her parents or imaginary friends what to do and how to do it - ahhh, 3 a great age!
Sadly, one time when I was dancing with her she told me I wasn't doing it right and that I should just sit and watch.

Belated Christmas Post

Christmas was wonderful. So wonderful, in fact I didn't take a single picture (we did do a little video), but here is their Christmas card photo - close enough, right? Christmas could have been better without the horrid GI bug that hit 20 something family members, but we all survived!
