Anne is 1!!

Well after the big hunt, we decided to have a smaller scale bday party for Anne. But it still turned out to be a crowd. But her hair usually does draw a crowd!

Visit in Holly Hill

Last weekend we drove to Holly Hill to have BBQ with Gregg's grandmom. We had such a nice visit with her and Gregg's aunt and Uncle. MK was out in full force reading a book to her audience page by page and walking it around to everyone for a good look at each page, and asking us to stand while she said the pledge of allegiance and before she said the Lord's Prayer she asked us all to take a deep breath.

Wrong Baby

On the way home from Harris's birthday party, which was a lot of fun (thank you Ayers), Mary Kathryn kepting saying something about Anne's hair laying straight down. We had put bug spray in her hair so it was laying down more than usual. Then she said - "Her hair is laying down , it doesn't look Annie - I think we brought the wrong baby home from the party". At least she cared . . .

Melinda and I took the kids to Charlestowne Landing a couple weeks ago on a day that made our mouths water for the warm days that are near. The kids were super cute, of course.

President's Weekend

We went to Gregg's family beach house over the long Presidents weekend and I have been meaning to post for weeks. We had a great time and Aileen and her family joined us which made it even more fun. The kids really enjoyed being together - of course the adults did too!Aileen and I decided that we couldn't really call it a vacation but a family weekend instead. Amanda and Jason stopped by after Amanda finished a 1/2 marathon. What a woman!!! We were so proud.

What a sweet girl

Well I may never be able to send Mary Kathryn to the gold couch again. When I was upstairs saying good night she hugged me and said " God gave me such a sweet mommy" and then said "you are the only mommy I could love". I don't know where she got this from, but it truly melted my heart. Thank you God for this amazing girl.

Valentine Girls

These are my cute Valentine's Day Girls. Anne could give cupid a run for his money because she loves to make a kissing sound (or pop with her mouth), it is really quite cute and warms my heart all day long. And this morning on the way to school Mary Kathryn was belting out her songs - Swing Low Sweet Chariot goes like this - Swing low sweet cheerio, mama is going to carry me home. She believes that those are the words and therefore it is "my song" so I must sing along. I love these girls! Thank you Grammy for their special Valentine's Day outfits!

Spike

So, I have two daughters. Thus I realize there are sure to be MANY hair issues in my future. And truthfully MK and I have hair issues daily, in that I have to do something with her crazy curly locks on a daily basis. And that is a challenge, especially for me, a non-primping type girl. But it does look cute when fixed so I give it my best, but sometimes that is not that great.

On the other hand, I have Little Annie with the mohawk. Poor girl is constantly having people comment on her hair. Even the stock boy at Publix noticed and called her Spike. (Stock boy you are not funny!). Anyway, surely at some point gravity is going to run its course and help us out, because this mere mortal cannot get that hair to lay down!

Fun with Bubby

Mary Kathryn and Anne always have at Oma and Papa's house but especially when Uncle Bubby is around. Anne loves that he will get on the floor with her and Mary Kathryn likes that he does what she asks him to!

One year old - we can't believe it! What an adorable little boy!! We are so glad that you are a part of our lives we love you!

Circus of Dreams

We had such a good time at the Circus. I wasn't sure if Mary Kathryn would like the Clowns and noise and lights, but she had a blast. She did ask why it had to be so loud, but I think I have asked her that same question before soo. . . We were so glad that her buddies were able to come, and I think we are looking forward to next year when some more will be old enough to join in the fun!

These 2 mommies have been known to consider joining the circus, watch out!
